COA Chairperson receives Gawad Dangal ng Lipi from Province of Bulacan

The Province of Bulacan awarded Commission on Audit (COA) Chairperson Michael G. Aguinaldo with the 2019 Gawad Dangal ng Lipi, an award given to exceptional sons and daughters of Bulacan. The awarding ceremony was held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in Malolos, Bulacan on 15 September 2019.

Chairperson Aguinaldo was cited for his exceptional contributions and achievements in the public and private sectors: “Dahil sa kanyang tapat na paglilingkod ng may paninindigan at walang kinikilingan ay maituturing siyang huwaran ng isang tunay na lingkod bayan na siyang bumubuhay sa tiwala ng mamamayan sa Sistema at integridad ng pamahalaan.”

Esguerra of Dangal ng Bulacan Foundation, Inc.

Chairperson Aguinaldo expressed his gratitude to the Province of Bulacan, saying that he hoped the award will serve as inspiration for public servants.

“Sa pagtanggap namin sa karangalang ito, nawa ay magsilbi kaming inspirasyon sa lahat ng empleyado ng pamahalaan na may hangarin na umunlad ang ating bansa. Tayong mga lingkod bayan ang magsisilbing halimbawa sa mga mamamayan upang mapalawig natin ang disiplina sa ating mga sarili at sa mga mamamayan. Kung tayo ay may disiplina at pagkakaisa, napakadali nating maisusulong ang pag-unlad na makakabuti para sa lahat,” Chairperson Aguinaldo said.

Chairperson Aguinaldo’s ancestors hail from Bulakan, Bulacan and include the young general Gregorio Del Pilar. The COA Chairperson was among 14 awardees recognized in their own fields of expertise which included Public Service, Professional, Community Service, Entrepreneur, Education, Science and Technology, Arts and Culture, Trade and Industry, Health, Agriculture, and Sports. #
