New Commission on Audit (COA) Chairperson Gamaliel A. Cordoba and Commissioners Roland C. Pondoc and Mario G. Lipana lead the 2022 COA Christmas celebration with the theme “Pag-asa, Pagkakaisa, Pagmamahalan at Pasasalamat.”

COA celebrated Christmas 2022 with simple but meaningful activities. The celebration formally began with the lighting of the Christmas Tree and Nativity on 1 December 2022. COA also held a lunch and gift giving to low salaried employees, the traditional greetings to the Commission Proper, activities and performances by sectors and a newspaper lantern making contest.

Chairperson Gamaliel A. Cordoba with Commissioners Roland C. Pondoc and Mario G. Lipana join the organizers and hosts of the greetings to the Commission Proper which was held face-to-face for the first time since the pandemic.

Chairperson Cordoba expressed his appreciation for the COA family’s warmth and support which he felt in his first Christmas with COA.

The Chairperson noted that Christmas is also a time of unity for everyone regardless of religion or faith.

Commissioner Pondoc, for his part, encouraged COANs to be inspired this season.

Commissioner Lipana also expressed his gratitude to the hard work shown by COA officials and personnel.

Meanwhile, the Legal Services Sector won the parol making contest which was held to foster love of environment, camaraderie, and spirit of cooperation among COA Central Office personnel. Tied for second place were the Corporate Government Audit Sector and the Administration Sector.

All 11 of the sectors participated in the contest which strictly used newspapers for the parol entry. The lanterns were judged based on compliance with technical specifications, originality and creativity and over-all visual impact.

Congratulations to the various committees who organized and prepared for the various activities, led by Commissioner Lipana as Chairperson of the Steering Committee and Assistant Commissioner Winnie Rose H. Encallado, Co-Chairperson.

Merry Christmas to all! #
